Privacy policy
How HoneyTea Company handles personal data on this site — what is collected, the lawful basis, how long it is kept and how to exercise your UK GDPR rights.
What this page is
This page is a placeholder for the demo build. HoneyTea Company’s own policy wording, company registration and VAT details must replace it before launch.
What this site collects
- Email address and first name, when you choose to join the mailing list. Collected on the basis of your consent, which is recorded with the date, the wording you agreed to and the form you used.
- Your message and contact details, when you use the contact form. Used only to reply to you, on the basis of legitimate interest, unless you separately opt in to marketing.
- Basket contents, stored in your own browser using localStorage. This never leaves your device on this demonstration build.
- Analytics and advertising data, only if you accept those cookies. Nothing analytics-related runs before you choose.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. Every marketing email carries a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is honoured immediately.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@honeyteacompany.com.
Email marketing
Marketing email is sent through Klaviyo. Consent is explicit and never pre-ticked, the consent text is stored alongside the profile, and contacts migrated from the previous provider are carried across only where a consent record exists.
Still required before launch
- HoneyTea Company’s registered company name, number and address.
- VAT registration number.
- The named data controller and a contact route for data protection queries.
- The client’s own full policy wording, reviewed by their solicitor.
