The HoneyTea story

A drink that began as an alternative to water and fizz, and turned into three flavours, two formats and a short ingredients list.

The when

It started with what was in the fridge

One day at University, I decided that I wanted a light refreshing drink but did not want water or anything too sugary or fizzy. I looked in the fridge and discovered some lemons which I paired with some freshly brewed tea and honey, the rest as they say is history.

I designed the recipe for HoneyTea in my kitchen, and the final recipe which you taste today — whilst certified and commercially developed — remains largely similar to that initial taste.

The how

Three flavours, each with a point of difference

HoneyTea is the product of a passion for the delicious and invigorating taste of a unique iced tea. What began as a drink made for personal consumption has become a refined product of delicious ingredients and flavours. We have developed three different flavour profiles — lemon, cinnamon and elderflower — each with a point of difference.

HoneyTea is a premium blend drink brewed in the best conditions using the highest quality ingredients. We use the very best organic Sicilian lemons, paired with fragrant green tea and organic honey for our signature taste.

I have therefore nurtured and developed HoneyTea — a naturally sourced, refreshing iced tea. I have continued to refine and develop the drink, which has now become the premium iced tea product that it is today.

Four stages, and a short ingredients list that is the direct result of them.

Sourcing

Only the best quality ingredients make their way into every bottle of HoneyTea. From the organic wildflower honey to the responsibly sourced green tea leaves, every ingredient is carefully selected to ensure you get that refreshing taste every time.
Brewing

Our green tea is brewed to gradually extract a strong flavour, which is then mixed with honey for sweetness and lemon juice for freshness.
Bottling

We use high quality recyclable glass bottles, sealed with premium caps to ensure that your drink gets to you at its best quality.
Pasteurising

We are committed to our promise of using no preservatives in our drink. Consequently, the final stage in our cycle is where we pasteurise our drinks to make sure they are safe for consumption and will retain their amazing quality.
